From Vibe-Coded Viral MVP to Launchable Product in 90 Days
What happens when a viral app built with AI-generated code needs to become a real, shippable product fast?
This is the story of Divine, a groundbreaking short-form video platform and a reboot of the original Vine — the iconic app acquired by Twitter — now reimagined for a decentralized world and backed by Jack Dorsey. Its CEO had built an exciting MVP using vibe coding, but turning that into a stable, production-grade Flutter app was a different challenge entirely. That's where Very Good Ventures came in.
In this session, the Divine and the VGV team will share the inside story of how we went from a codebase with 500+ open issues and no CI/CD infrastructure to a live product on Zapstore — in 90 days. We'll walk through the strategic decisions, the engineering methodology, and the human side of running a high-velocity product engagement in the age of AI.
Key Takeaways:
- From vibe-coded to production cadence: assessing and stabilizing AI-generated codebases: We'll share the assessment framework VGV used to triage 400+ test cases and classify what was working, partially working, broken, and not yet built, giving founders and engineering leads a replicable model for inherited or AI-generated codebases. We'll also walk through how a "Stability-First" roadmap helped align a fast-moving founder with an engineering team focused on long-term quality, and how daily transparency built the trust needed to make hard trade-offs fast.
- Agentic Flutter Engineering in practice: Learn how VGV embedded AI agents (including Claude Code) as active co-developers and code reviewers throughout the entire SDLC as a structured methodology that compressed delivery timelines without sacrificing architectural integrity.
- Building on NOSTR: Flutter meets decentralized social: Divine is built on NOSTR, an open, decentralized protocol for social media that is rapidly gaining traction as an alternative to centralized platforms. Its event-driven, cryptographic architecture requires a different mental model than traditional REST or GraphQL APIs. We'll share how VGV leveraged existing NOSTR knowledge within the team to integrate it cleanly within Flutter, and why decentralized protocols are becoming an increasingly valuable skill for mobile engineers building the next generation of social apps.
- What vibe coding means for the Flutter ecosystem: A candid conversation between a founder who built with it and an engineering firm that inherited it: the opportunities, the risks, and what comes next as AI-generated Flutter apps become more common.
